Landscapes
Rosie Barber’s landscape work draws directly from the land surrounding her on the Mornington Peninsula. Inspired by the region’s rolling farmland, quiet vineyards and the gentle presence of horses in the landscape, her paintings capture a strong sense of place. Through subtle tonal shifts, layered depth and an intuitive use of light, Rosie creates scenes that feel calm, expansive and grounded. These works reflect a contemporary realism, celebrating the character and rhythm of the Peninsula while preserving the stillness and beauty of the land as it is experienced day to day.
